Jedi Knight

This costume is based on the costume Luke Skywalker wears in the third Star Wars movie, Return of the Jedi. Since he sheds pieces of the costume, one by one, it is a costume that is relatively easy to disect.

It consist of a black shirt, which I sewed from scratch, due to a interesting design on the front. There is also a vest-like item in a coarser material. Due to a lack of time, it was created from a cheap sweater, where the sleeves were converted into the rather interesting trim that goes all the way along the front opening.

The cape is made from faux suede. It ended up being to pale of a shade, but it is based off of the cape of a Luke Skywalker action figure that I had as a kid. The Pants are regular plack pants, and the belt is a black belt with a large square silver buckle. Finally the light saber is a very awesom Luke toy light saber that lights up, makes a humming sound, and a crackling sound when hit against something. It is far far nicer than the rather crappy light sabers they have been releasing for the last two films.
